The Resource Book presents bibliographical information as well as extensive background material, both of which are intended as aids to answering questions arising from Orwell's text, or to stimulate research in the wider context of interdisciplinary activities. It contains - an introductory Course Manager, which provides surveys of themes and methodology: - a collection of Teaching Resources, which offer detailed analyses of all visual and verbal texts, background information about the historical, political and cultural contexts, and suggestions as to useful additional material; - an Information Sheet about film vocabulary.
