Unsettling Educational Modernism is the second volume of Sabine Bitter and Helmut Weber’s series of case studies of universities built in the 1950s-1970s. The iconic architecture of the brutalist modernist megastructure of Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada and its pedagogical concepts are the site of their investigation. Enactments of contemporary pedagogies based on Indigenous forms of knowing and teaching currently being realized on the campus, are developed and tested in a space originally designed for radical pedagogy.
