David Campos przebywał w Gwinei Bissau od listopada 2006 do maja 2007 roku w ramach projektu pomocowego dla mieszkańców So Domingos, który zrealizowano we współpracy organizacji pozarządowej Aco para o Desenvolvimento (Działanie dla Rozwoju) oraz urzędu miejskiego miasta Montijo. David podczas tego pobytu zakochał się w poznanych osobach, więc komiks, który za chwilę przeczytacie, jest nie tyle opowieścią o odbytej podróży, co wybiórczym dziennikiem przeżyć i kontaktów międzyludzkich, jakie autorowi dane było nawiązać w czasie pracy wolontariackiej, a także w czasie od niej wolnym. Filmiki nagrane w czasie tej podróży dostępne są na kanale dawize (YouTube). David urodził się w 1979 w Meudon-la-Fort (Francja), jednak od czwartego roku życia mieszka w Portugalii. Dorastał w Montijo. Ukończył studia z zakresu animacji (w ETIC), tworzenia dla multimediów i sztuk audiowizualnych, a także kurs ilustracji i komiksu w Ar.Co. Pracował przy produkcjach animowanych, fanzinach i antologiach wydanych przez Associao Chili Com Carne.
