Ang Paghanap (The Quest) is the story of the search for the author's uncle, 1st Lt. Carol I. Cahoon, MIA from World War II. Cahoon was a part of the US Army's 26th Cavalry Regiment's Philippine Scout Car Platoon. He and his fellow troopers were ambushed by the Japanese the early morning hours of January 7, 1942. Six escaped, one civilian was captured and fifteen were killed and all fifteen declared Missing in Action. This book is an attempt to describe the history and events leading up to and after the ambush, to identify who the fifteen might have been, and where their remains might be located today. This is a quest to find out what happened.
