This is the story of Michael Morgan, son of Charlie and Lucy Morgan of Wyoming, who are introduced in Hoofprints in the Snow. Michael is on his way from a suburb of Los Angeles, California, to Wheatland, Wyoming, to see his dying mother. Along the way, Michael reviews many important episodes in his life which shaped his present. Thomas Wolfe said "You can't go home again." But Michael does go home, realizing that, after almost fifty years, things are not the same and home is not the same as his memories.

Hoofprints in the Snow is the story of Lucy Johannson Morgan and her life in southeast Wyoming from the Great Depression, through World War II, and Vietnam. It is a story of love, horses, war, and the western plains with a twist at the end.

Golden Lads and Girls tells the story of Pearl Morgan, the daughter of Charlie and Lucy Morgan, who were introduced in Hoof Prints in the Snow. Pearl is raised in southeastern Wyoming then goes to college in California where she meets Christopher Fallon. They fall in love and get married. Then she and Christopher become casualties of the social and political unrest of the 1960s and the Vietnam War.

Set against the backdrop of the Jacobite revolt of 1745, two friends, James Cameron and Aodh Baird, navigate love and loyalty amidst political turmoil. James's romance with Aodh's sister, Annella, intertwines with the efforts of Bonnie Prince Charlie to reclaim the throne from George II. Jenny Kissed Me is the story of Titus Alistair, a rancher in southeast Wyoming, near Wheatland, and Leia Riggle, the niece of Tricky Riggle who murdered two people in Wheatland, Wyoming, in 1953. It is a story of horses, love, and strife. Leia must overcome the stigma of her last name and regain her place in the town. Titus is an older Renaissance mana good man but with almost outdated chivalrous ideals. He teaches Leia about horses and, in his own way, about lifeto meet challenges head on and never give up. Both are intelligent and find that they have a lot in common.
