Barriers to commitment to continuous improvement within the automotive industry in Ecuador are examined through a study involving two service centers in Quito. The research focuses on employee and manager perspectives, utilizing questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to gather data. Findings reveal significant obstacles that hinder employees' initiative and engagement in continuous improvement efforts, highlighting the need for addressing these issues to establish an effective quality system within the organizations.
