An old woman lives in a charming country house with her many beloved cats. But as they grow old and pass away, the woman is left alone, vowing to never get another pet. However, she soon becomes lonely and feeds the birds in her yard. Soon a chipmunk joins them, then a group of friendly stray cats, and eventually... a big red rooster with gigantic feet! The old woman quickly becomes fond of her new visitor but realizes her yard is no place for a rooster. As the weather turns cold, she worries that he might not make it through the winter. Will she ever find a new home for her feathered friend?
