    Georges Auguste Escoffier bol francúzsky šéfkuchár a autor, ktorý zmodernizoval tradičné francúzske kuchárske metódy. Zjednodušil a zmodernizoval zložité techniky Antoina Carême a stal sa legendou medzi šéfkuchármi aj gurmánmi.
