First Generation Normal is a story of growing up free range with eccentric parents and learning how to navigate a variety of unusual situations and characters. "We had the freedom to live in our natural environment without eyes glaring down upon us, dictating our every move. We learned to be independent because, by and large, people did not do things for us," so writes the author about her upbringing. First Generation Normal is a comedic journey of overcoming obstacles and finding inner peace in order to create new opportunities for reconciliation and happiness.
