This study explores the political participation of refugees in Germany, focusing on self-organisations in Cologne. It examines how these groups engage in decision-making despite lacking citizenship and formal electoral rights. Interviews reveal that while these organisations can be vital partners for local authorities, access to resources and opportunities is unevenly distributed.
