Freddy, an adventurous young boy from the small town of Farleigh, often seeks excitement with his friend Herbie, indulging in harmless mischief on their way to school. Their antics take a turn when they encounter the grumpy Mr. Grumblebum, who chases them with an umbrella. In a bid to escape, the boys seek refuge in the mysterious Waxworks, setting the stage for unexpected adventures.
