The concept of inconclusive elections has emerged in Nigeria's electoral landscape, particularly highlighted since the 2015 Kogi State governorship election. When the vote margin is smaller than the number of canceled ballots, elections are declared inconclusive, a trend that gained prominence during the 2019 elections. This raises questions about the consistency of such declarations, especially as some elections that should be deemed inconclusive were not.
