The study investigates how cadmium (Cd), an endocrine disruptor, impacts estradiol signaling and female reproductive function, particularly in the presence of zinc (Zn). Utilizing both in vivo and in vitro experimental approaches, the research employs zebrafish and U251-MG astrocytic cells to analyze the effects of Cd and Zn on embryonic development and survival.
