These nodes communicate wirelessly to relay data such as temperature and pollution levels to a base station. It addresses the challenges of energy consumption, as sensors often have non-replaceable batteries, emphasizing the need for energy-efficient protocols. Additionally, various applications like weather monitoring and battlefield surveillance are discussed.
