The study focuses on the unique savannah habitat of the Palmar de Romero, characterized by the Copernicia palm species and diverse accompanying flora. Utilizing transect and square plot methods, the research reveals a rich vegetation profile dominated by C. gigas. The fauna is equally impressive, featuring 200 species, including 127 birds and 10 endemics, with some endangered like Psittacara euops. This area is highlighted for its significant biological resources, emphasizing its importance for conserving Cuba's coastal biodiversity.
