Focusing on the evolution of academic conferences, the authors explore the constraints and norms that shape these events. Through a series of interventions since 2016, they challenge traditional practices and propose innovative approaches to reimagine how conferences can be conducted. This work encourages readers to rethink the structure and purpose of academic gatherings, fostering a more inclusive and dynamic environment for scholarly exchange.
