The first comprehensive study of fish populations in Taï National Park reveals a diverse ichthyological landscape, documenting 65 species across 18 families and 8 orders in six rivers. The research highlights conservation concerns, identifying 1 endangered, 4 vulnerable, and several near-threatened species. Notably, two bio-indicator groups, Mormyridae and small Barbus, signal water quality. Endemic species such as Chromidotilapia cavalliensis and Synodontis koensis underline the park's unique ecological significance within the western Guinean ecoregion.
