Exploring the human condition through the lens of mental disorders, this work delves into contemporary neurosis and psychosis, termed normal neurosis and ordinary psychosis. It combines psychoanalytic practice with clinical sociology, examining the effects of social precariousness on mental health. The author emphasizes the significance of Freud's contributions to understanding the unconscious, while also acknowledging Lacan and other clinical figures. Philosophical insights are woven throughout, presenting a historical perspective on the unconscious in relation to culture.
