A Mixed-Methods Approach to Character Education

Focusing on the developmental aspects of virtue education, this work critiques the existing literature for its fragmented approach, which overlooks the importance of a learner's maturity and experiences. It emphasizes the need for a coherent strategy that evolves with the learner, fostering moral agency through age-appropriate methods. The proposed framework aims to guide learners from natural character to moral virtue by utilizing aretaic exemplars, encouraging rational participation in their moral development and habituation.
