The evaluation of the Oasis Project reveals its impact on the Vila Regina Water Treatment Plant, particularly regarding turbidity and chemical consumption in water treatment. While initial conservation practices have started, quantifying the environmental benefits remains challenging. The findings suggest that successful Payments for Environmental Services programs should prioritize sustainable land use and foster cooperation among local, national, and regional stakeholders, including businesses and civil society, to ensure the longevity of public policies.
