The study focuses on the seismic response of multi-storied buildings situated on hilly slopes, specifically analyzing structures with a stepped back configuration. It examines how these buildings, resting on slopes of 15°, 30°, and 45°, behave during earthquakes, contrasting their dynamic responses—such as natural frequencies, time periods, base shears, and displacements—with similar buildings on flat terrain. The research utilizes STAAD Pro software for simulations and compares the findings with manual calculations, highlighting the impact of topography on structural integrity during seismic events.
