The story follows Daniel Ray, a serial killer targeting affluent older couples, whose early acts of violence were driven by survival instincts. Now fully immersed in his dark lifestyle, he inadvertently leaves clues that lead detectives Bobby Collins and Alex Hollander to his trail. As Collins, a recovering alcoholic, seeks to confront his past, the investigation intensifies, prompting Daniel to return to the ocean for one final hunt. However, an unexpected twist during his last cruise alters his deadly plans.
