Focusing on the global electronics industry, this work presents a theory-driven examination of production networks during the 2010s. It introduces the concept of global production networks (GPN) as an organizational innovation linking diverse yet interdependent production realms, such as Silicon Valley and East Asia. The author, Henry Wai-Chung Yeung, illustrates how GPN 2.0 effectively elucidates the contemporary organizational dynamics shaping this sector.
