Exploring the culinary heritage of Benin, this work highlights the challenges faced by traditional dishes in the face of globalization. It focuses on VLAKPA sauce, advocating for its inclusion in modern restaurant menus as a means to preserve cultural practices. Through surveys, research, and experimentation, the study identifies potential benefits such as poverty reduction and economic growth through increased production of white catfish. The introduction of VLAKPA sauce could significantly enhance local livelihoods and contribute to the country's economic development.
