The study focuses on evaluating the recyclability of styrene-based polymers, specifically PS, ABS, and PC-ABS blends. It involves a detailed process of material collection, cleaning, sorting, and characterization through chemical, thermal, and mechanical analyses. The research compares compression molded, 3D printed, and extruded filament samples, assessing properties like tensile strength and elongation. Ultimately, PS-HI emerges as the most favorable option for recyclability, outperforming the other materials in all tested aspects.
