Focusing on the impact of water scarcity, this study investigates how population growth, economic development, and urbanization have altered land use in the Arabian Peninsula, particularly in Saudi Arabia. It assesses the effects on soil and biodiversity, highlighting metabolic variability in perennial species under drought stress across seven habitats near the Red Sea. By examining the influence of soil characteristics and the maritime environment on these plants, the research contributes valuable insights into ecological changes and challenges in the region.
