Focusing on the impact of the Phanerogamic Flora of São Paulo project, this study evaluates its influence on teachers and researchers in local schools. Initiated in 1993, the project aimed to enhance botanical education but lacked prior evaluations of its effectiveness. The analysis reveals significant contributions to teachers' practices and highlights the need for ongoing professional development rooted in collaboration among educational institutions. The findings align with existing literature, advocating for reflexive training approaches in teacher education.
