Automatic extraction of the road network from THRS images

Focusing on road network extraction from THR satellite images, this work details a method implemented using OTB. It outlines a processing chain comprising three key blocks: multiscale analysis to minimize noise, road extraction via spectral angle techniques and Kalman filtering, and image subsampling. The methodology enhances existing systems by incorporating radiometric and geometric data, significantly lowering false alarm rates. Aimed at geomaticians, remote sensing experts, and topographers, it emphasizes practical applications and ease of integration.
