Management of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Wilt Disease

Fusarium wilt poses a significant threat to chickpea production in India, which accounts for 64% of global output. This research explores the effectiveness of biological control methods using Trichoderma viride, Trichoderma harzianum, and neem cake, alongside carbendazim, to reduce disease incidence. The study highlights the drawbacks of chemical pesticides, such as health risks and soil fertility decline. It concludes that utilizing these fungal antagonists and organic amendments can enhance soil health and manage Fusarium wilt effectively.
