Occupational stress is thoroughly examined through a study involving 500 software employees from both public and private sectors in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Utilizing the Occupational Stress Index, the research reveals significant differences in stress experiences, with public sector employees facing higher stress levels and related physical health issues. The findings highlight a positive correlation between physical health and lifestyle habits, leading to recommendations for individual and organizational strategies to mitigate occupational stress effectively.
