Focusing on adult and continuing education, this study explores the professional development of teachers within the tertiary education sector. It highlights denominational adult education as an extension of religious education, emphasizing its role in enhancing cultural-religious competence. The author's experiences are documented through various courses in tertiary and quaternary education. The conclusion offers critical reflections and insights into the professionalization process, examining the interplay between theory and practice in adult education and university didactics.
