Exploring the evolution of time perception in Old Norse culture, this work analyzes prose and poetry to reveal native images of time and their transformation due to social changes, particularly with the advent of Christianity and feudalism. It categorizes primary sources into three groups: original domestic concepts found in the "Poetic Edda" and sagas, texts influenced by foreign ideas from learned treatises and the Church, and the impact of these foreign perceptions on the temporal structure of kings' and bishops' sagas.
