This is a true story of a group of WWII veterans and their families who came to the wind-swept plains of northern Wyoming to carve out a new homestead community on virgin soil in 1950. Each of the families lived in black tar paper covered barracks from the then deserted Heart Mountain Japanese Relocation Center.
