The Month of Sivan: The Art of Receiving: Shavuos and Matan Torah

Each month of the year radiates with a distinct quality and provides unique opportunities for personal growth and illumination. Sivan is the third month of the lunar cycle. One is a singularity. Two is division. Three is harmony, a unity that synthesizes individuality and multiplicity, Heaven and Earth, Spirituality and Physicality. During this month we celebrate Shavuos and the giving of the Torah, the ultimate expression of the unity of the Above and Below and we aspire to connect with the Keser/Crown of the Torah that transcends and yet includes all the worlds. Learning how to truly receive Higher wisdom in our lower faculties is the mental, emotional, and spiritual exercise of the month.
