'6 Years in China' follows a young woman, Lucie Ste-Croix, as she journeys into the heart of China at the height of the Cultural Revolution, a dark and turbulent time when the country was being torn apart. Lucie learns more than she could have imagined, as she goes from day-dreaming student, to being swept up in the historical whirlwind shaping a nation. During her years far from home, she's taught a harsh lesson in love... and the real meaning of sacrifice. This unproduced screenplay could not be filmed in China since the true events described in it are censored by the government.
