My dream had always been to visit this idyllic place called Kashmir, located in the far reaches of northern India near the Himalayas. Living on a houseboat on a lake, floating around the lake on a small boat, visiting the local sites, learning about the people, and sampling their food was all too appealing. So, a window of opportunity opened up and I went. It was eve better than I had imagined. Beautiful scenery, beautiful people all made this trip spectacular.
