A collection of exercises designed to aid the aspiring trumpeter in mastering many common patterns, sequences, and passages, especially in so-called "tough keys," so that there is gradually less and less between the player and their self-expression.Includes scales and arpeggio exercises in all fifteen key signatures, short melodic examples in all keys allowing the player to practice scales and arpeggios in basic musical contexts, and an appendix of useful "basic music theory" information. This is the 2nd Edition, re-organized with each exercise’s version in the relative minor key immediately following the version in major keys (instead of all major versions grouped separately from the minor versions, in their own sections of the book). A few other minor improvements have been made as well.
