A city in constant transition features enormous buildings that challenge our sense of scale, with its periphery becoming central and prime spaces demolished. Unlike historical cities that showcase ancient ruins, modern metropolises often present homogeneous collections of nameless structures, offering a globalized experience devoid of diversity. In this urban landscape, stainless steel and glass reflect an ageless, inhumane perfection, creating a sense of estrangement for citizens. The sterile cityscape raises the question of whether the spaces between buildings are merely nuisances. In narrow hallways and under flyovers, the true fabric of the city emerges, adding much-needed diversity and vibrancy. These areas highlight the failure of attempts to rationalize life's beautiful complexity, offering a sensory experience where textures and materials can still be appreciated.
