Žel.......musím napsat, i po letech je pro mne toto dílo velmi těžké čtení, nezáživné. Nebavila mě už jako povinná četba, zkusím znovu......třeba teď po čase..........nestalo se. Jednou provždy, s "Babičkou" přítelkyně nebudeme, i když je tato kniha zařazena, jako poklad naší literatury. Jako povinnou četbu, bych dnešním dětem ve školách, tuto knihu nenutila číst. Kdyby to byla úplně první kniha, která by se mi dostala do rukou v čtenářských začátcích..........určitě by ze mne čtenář a milovník knih nebyl. Ovšem filmové zpracování v podání herečky - babičky Jarmily Kurandové, to je skvost filmové tvorby.

Sama bych si ji znovu nepřečetla, ale přijde mi super třeba pro děti před spaním. Učí o starých českých zvyklostech a pomáhá budovat vztah s přirozeným chodem přírody (jaro, léto, podzim, zima), ale reflektuje i sociální reálie doby. Vztah vnučky Barunky s babičkou něco, co by mělo zažít každé dítě.
