In 2015, Levi Vonk, a young anthropologist and journalist, moved to Mexico to work with migrants, challenging the conservative views of his Southern hometown. There, he met Axel Kirschner, a lifelong New Yorker from Guatemala, who was undocumented after being deported for a minor traffic violation. Axel was desperate to reunite with his children in Queens. Beneath the surface of his typical immigrant story, Levi discovered Axel's hidden talent: he was a hacker. This revelation set the two friends on an unexpected and perilous journey that neither had anticipated.
