"Professors Gary Marcus and Ernest Davis who have spent their careers at the forefront of AI research, argue that the path we are on will never lead to the breakthroughs we've been promised. The current state of the art relies on data collection and statistical analysis, but these methods only prove useful in closed system with fixed rules. The real world, in contrast, is wildly complex and open-ended.
