In Wizard's First Rule, Richard Cypher's life changes dramatically when he becomes the Seeker of Truth, tasked with saving the world from Darken Rahl, a powerful and malevolent wizard. Alongside his beloved Kahlan, the last of the Confessors who once brought justice to the land, and Zedd, the final wizard opposing Rahl, they manage to cast him into the underworld, temporarily halting his reign of terror.
