When a stipulation in his father’s will forces Mark back into a family that disowned him, he’s determined to escape his new reality. Instead of freedom, he becomes a one-third owner of the struggling Arizona Raptors hockey team, a situation he dreads as he despises hockey and faces a locker room filled with resentment. To turn the team around, he must confront his estranged siblings, whom he fled from fifteen years ago. Enter Rowen Carmichael, the new coach with a stubborn attitude and a penchant for irritating Mark. Despite their clashes, Mark finds himself grappling with an undeniable attraction to Rowen, complicating his resolve to keep things professional. Rowen, after years of collegiate coaching, is drawn to the challenge of transforming one of the league's worst teams into contenders. Leaving Ontario behind for Tucson, he’s met with a broken team and a management structure that frustrates him. Yet, he feels a pull to dig in and rebuild. With a vision for the team and a few key players in mind, he must persuade the new owners, including the infuriatingly appealing Mark, that his plans are in their best interest. As tensions rise and challenges mount, both men must navigate their growing feelings and the chaos of the Raptors.
