Set against the backdrop of a haunted New England home, the Powell family discovers the Twitchell place, available for rent at an unusually low price. Unbeknownst to them, the house carries a dark history involving the notorious sea captain Ebenezer Twitchell, who infamously murdered his wife and mistress, concealing their bodies in the cellar.
