Gerald Vizenor, a prominent Anishinaabe author, reinterprets poems and tales originally documented over a century ago by ethnographer Frances Densmore and newspaper editor Theodore Hudson Beaulieu, offering a contemporary perspective on these traditional narratives from the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota.
