Shelley's classic novel, perhaps the most influential in the English language, is simplified just enough for modern teenagers and other 21st-century readers to maintain the pace of reading that Shelley surely had in mind when she wrote "Frankenstein." With paragraphs and sentences shortened, just enough, and as much of Shelley's own language preserved as could serve the purpose of making her book readable for all, the updated book will surely find a place in the hearts of readers everywhere.
