Catastrophic land slides in the Leda Clay may come once in a thousand years. For a small town in Quebec, Canada, that's tomorrow, as fracking for natural gas undermines the susceptible geology. A predatory pastor, a new ager, a harassed mayor, a realtor and a biker gang meet on a landscape moulded by Leda Clay, a geological formation widespread in eastern Canada. Meet Dr. Argile, a retired geologist obsessed by the Leda, as St. Petraphile stands on the brink of collapse.
