While humanity sleeps in the darkness of the night, Hasanath, an old farmer from Malali, digs graves for young men whom Wazed Wani's followers called 'martyrs.' The authorities who carry out these undocumented encounters, have found their cover in the poor man's hunger. Fear of death by hunger or by bullet, has brought upon occupational change, turning farmers into grave diggers, whether on the Indian side or the Pakistan side of the Kashmir valley. What doom fell upon many Hasanats' families, that, they dance on the graves in their dreams and live with the unimaginable fear of digging graves for their sons like Iqbal?
