Picasso is a talented but struggling artist from Italy, feeling defeated by his lack of success and love. On his birthday, his friends surprise him with tickets to the "New Artist Expo" in Chicago, hoping to boost his spirits. However, Picasso experiences a series of misfortunes, including poor performance at the expo, losing his passport and tickets, and missing chances to meet a stunning woman. Fortunately, his friends arrange for him to return home via a cargo ship from New York. Using his art and the pain of lost love as inspiration, he embarks on an adventure to New York just in time for the ship. Meanwhile, Love, a former hippie turned high-level executive, has given up on finding true love for her career. Encouraged by friends, she decides to wear a flower dress, hoping to attract a partner. Throughout the day, she unknowingly catches Picasso's eye, but they never meet due to a series of comedic mishaps. Disheartened, Love resigns herself to loneliness until she discovers a painting of herself in the same dress, leaning against a flower stand. Believing the artist holds the key to her heart, she learns from the florist that Picasso has left for Sandusky, Ohio. This sets off the adventure of how love finds Picasso!
