1980s coming-of-age novel set in a world of student filmmaking, one fraught with challenges both personal and professional for a mid-life narrator, a suddenly downsized journalist, looking back upon his youth. His challenges back then included the death of a parent as well as a romantic love triangle among his wisecracking mentor Kunk, his dream girl Camille, and a version of the callow, unnamed youthful persona whose name is [REDACTED] from our knowledge to 'protect the innocent,' as he says in a footnote.
